Tamlyn PF5 butt joint flashing for 5 1/4 inch fiber cement siding (box of 50)

Description

New, unopened box of 50 Tamlyn PF5 butt joint flashing for 5 1/4" (4" reveal) fiber cement horizontal lap siding.
These are lightweight metal plates with a 1/4" lip that hangs on the back side of horizontal lap siding during installation. The PF5 spans a joint of two butted pieces of 5 1/4" fiber cement (Hardie) siding. The product keeps water that penetrates the butt joint from reaching behind the siding. This channels the water to the outside of the siding below.
The box says primed but it's a white primer. We had white siding and used the PF5 as they were without painting them. (Remember: these aren't really visible anyway -- the only chance of someone seeing it is if you a gap between your siding planks. If you use a dark paint color you might want to paint the PF5s just in case.)
