The Logs!
This listing is for extra-thick, natural, log siding with a 6" stack x 3 1/2" variable thickness made from White Pine logs.
This natural, hand-peeled siding is an actual 3 1/2” variable thickness and comes in 8’, 10', and 12' lengths.  Due to the hand-peeled technique used, there will be bumps and knots left in the siding - called character by natural enthusiasts!
A 2" t
hick siding is also available and is commonly used for interior projects.  The price is .40 per linear foot for double-peeled, air-dried (or add an additional {{detail_product_description}}.62 per linear foot for kiln-dried).  Different widths (stack heights) are also available in 8” and 10” stack height.
Use your imagination!
We like mixing the different widths to give a true handcrafted look!  (6”, 8”, 10” etc.)
This siding is also available in a modern look.  The modern has been sawn to a more uniform shape and the knots are flat and it has then been gone over with a draw knife.  The natural has a more rustic appearance and has raised knots, bumps, and all the natural characteristics of the log.  Both styles have been peeled by hand using draw knives and muscle with true craftsmanship, the old fashion way.  The logs are air dried to 20% surface moisture.  Kiln dried products are also available, but do cost 30% more due to the overhead costs.  The siding is in its natural state – no staining or finishes have been applied so it can be personalized.
Full Log Tails and Vertical Corners also Available!
We also make the full log tails that are attached to the siding. A 6" stack is each for a double round (double-D) or D-log as pictured above.
We also have pre-notched, hand-peeled vertical whole logs for the outside corners:  7/8" diameter, 8'-24 .85 per linear foot
The outside corners have a 2" flat edge to butt the siding up against.
We also have inside corners in 4" x 4" with a hand peeled face leaving a 2" flat edge to butt the siding against for .15 per linear foot.
